a new year, a new beginning.2006 was a year of terrible heartaches but yet also, a year of miraculous breakthroughsthere is just so many things that i want to thank God for.
firstly, for the many close friendships that i have developed throughout this year and really entering into fellowship. this year would have been even tougher if not for the God-given friends (barry, yang, yieping, kk, ran, hg and sis jo etc). really appreciate the leadership that God has put me under this year. no words can describe how much i've been stretched and grown under him. the fellowship with the older 'siblings' in the zone has also brought wise insights and advice into my very own personal life.
next, is the grace and strength that God has given for me to grow as an individual and to overcome the many storms that has hit me over the past year. it is just so amazing how my Father sees me through every single thing that i went through with His love and provision. so many a times that i fail so badly but yet, God is still there. can still rmb the times that i was liteary washing my face with tears. its just amazing how God works His ways through each and of our individual lives.
there is so just many things that i've learnt through this year and could really see and feel myself growing, in cg, in cc, in school, family and in life. some of the events that happened at the start of this year seemed so far away after all that the other events that unfolded throughout this year. this year, i was given the privilege to give bible studies, take segments in the cg and became a transport leader. thanks for the faith that barry and bob had in me.
as i now step into the new year, i have a renewed desire and perspective towards life. Jan will be the month of prayer - the seeking of God for the year ahead. i'm ready to face the challenges that 2007 brings with it. thanks pst kong for the series of sermons in stepping out. i've been tremendously blessed. 2007, bring it on! 2006 is of past but yet, will be a year where i can also learn to draw strength from.
