okiez. my long long post is gone due to a system error. sobs. but anyway, here i go again...
had a really awesome day today. although i kinda dragged myself out of bed after only turning in at 4 plus last night. went to meet alan to go NUS together. he is really doing me a great big favour in my studies. the whole trip dere was prttey long and ardous, esp on 151, where it was super stuffy. talked quite a lot and i guess it was probably the longest conversation i ever had with the cousins on my mum's side of the family. i was probably yawning half my journey there. hah.
upon reaching nus, the first thing obviously was to get our tummies filled. haha. had prata and teh at engineering canteen. was quite full by the time we headed for the central library. on the way out of the canteen, saw yongquan. guess he was talking to his prof bahz.
anyway spent about 4 hrs at the library reading and watching vcd. the theses papers are really good and helpful. alan was really nice in helping me scavenge the shelves for the books. it saved me a lot of hassle on my part.
went for lunch at the arts faculty with alan coz it'll be really evil to leave him to have lunch all by himself. as it was drizzling, we took the shelter walkway which was under construction. and just when we were reaching the canteen, there was a barrier so alan and i climbed over the wall , which was pretty fun. almost took the same way back up after lunch but the security guard was around so...
felt really blessed and pampered today by alan. him giving me treats for breakfast, lunch and zapping of books, which i really tried to return him money for, but to no avail. and him for taking the effort to go back to school and accompany me, helping me out was really whoa! and the thing is that he is still willing to accompany me to go back another day for me to do my research. really thank God for him. if not i cld never access those theses paper and valuable resources which they dun haf at the national library.
kor called halfway to ask if i wanted to help facilitate the workshop for Dunearn Sec - Alicia & Gab's school. was awed and took up the offer, as kor put it, beginning my internship earlier. haha. so headed down to the office after 'finishing up' at NUS. was briefed by joanna about the workshop on thurs since i'll be in school conducting interviews tmr. i'll be taking the ice-breakers in the morning. so really praying that it'll be good. thought of playing the egg and chick: scissors paper stone game. pray that i'll be able to speak up...
played blink against kor and peixuan in the office. also got my hands on dilbert as well. the games are really fun though i think i was a bit slow. but dilbert is really funny and fun to play. speaking of peixuan, i'm apalled dat she is actually frm chc as well and dat she recognizes me. i kinda wondered how come i didnt 'know' her. but enjoyed my time with her. and the great thingis dat she lives near me! yeah! oh. i oso got to meet my extended family in pictures. the ladies are really pretty...
had dinner with kor, kan wee, rod, serene and chenze after dat. amazing ppl. chenze and serene are students in rp and they also own their own company - entrepreneurs. really nice pple as well. kan wee gave us all a treat but somehow i didnt quite have the appetite to eat and its one of the rare occasion where i dun finish my rice.
hmm. i feel really blessed at the moment with donnie as my kor. it really feels as though he is a God-given gift in my life and that God is telling me dat he'll send me my jonathan soon. wait is the key. he is really like a long-lost friend, who shares a lot of stuff in common with me. really appreciated him toking thru with me abt my friendship with hwa, all the way till 4 plus. he really brings wise counsel and affirmation into my life. quite awed at how well he understands the various issues dat i am facing. his life is really interesting with so many stories to tell that you cld never tell that he has. from the conversation i had with him, it has also helped me to arrive at some conclusions on things like open communication and know what i am looking for in a guy. i do haf a really fantastic kor.
will be spending quite some time with kor for the next few days, including the training workshop. i think the workshop will really crucify my flesh. i gotta get to amk stn by 615 on thurs. really wondering how can i ever achieve dat...
