http://hs.facebook.com/album.php?aid=41451&l=2d62a&id=566572386tutored thomas after dat.
in the first place he doesn't really need extra help.
so the tutoring session ended very quickly.
went to makan and fellowship after that.
here are some thoughts on what we thought of
limited edition that we had:
http://www.squiggly.com/swatch/p/product/i/16941the topic of the discussion is the swatch valentine's day 2008 watch that i have been contemplating since more than a month ago.
2 reasons why i would get the watch:
a. i need a watch.
b. i like the watch.
in addition, it is a supposed limited edition.
thomas was asking if i find it worthy paying an extra $60 for the limited edition it is.
and end up finding a similar design months down the road.
i don't know how true this is since i usually don't look for brands.
to him, limited edition could just be a marketing gimmick to jack up the prices and to attract more people to buy.
and as i thought abt it, i begin to feel that limited edition means that it is only valid in this season.
it is not as though they produced a limited quantity of it.
isn't it incredible how people can look at things from different perspective and how little things make a whole world of difference?
speaking of which, i got reminded of a msg Andre dropped me a few days ago.
GODISNOWHERE.
what do u see?
some may say God is now here.
some others, God is nowhere.
and to the singlish-speaking, God is no where.
another occasion where the careful attention to how things are done can make great difference is in a child. the way we perceive how to do things...
imagine a kid wailing as it wants attention from you or something simply has not gone his way.
what would your first reaction be?
i guess most of us would rush over to hug the child to bring the comfort.
end of the day, are we then rewarding kids for bad behaviour (wailing) in our bid to bring comfort?
michael was telling me that how some parents would get their child to stop crying by telling them, then offering hugs for comfort and reward for the job well done.
in this case, we supposedly reward good behaviour.
a child would then learn how to behave appropriately.
was really impacted by how time can make such a drastic impact in the life of a child and his future behaviour.
so what perspective are you holding onto today?
are you conforming by following through or are you reflecting?
progress and growth comes from learning.anyone can just follow...
