why is it that the person who is supposed to be closest to you the harder to love? the level of tolerance seems to be much lower and the threshold for it is seemingly much lower in comparison too.
what is love? it seems so difficult to grasp what it really is. does it mean benefitting others at the expense of yourself, to the state that you are unhappy and deprived? love has been to me to benefit others at the expense of yourself and you would do it (even though it may hurts) but yet, you are blessed when the person you loved is blessed. i don't know what to make of things when ppl get jealous and start concepting ways to derive others of material enjoyment and pleasure.
i find it difficult to understand love. or probably it is simply sth beyond your mind but is in your heart - something that you embrace. i think the definition i like best is God is love. He loves me the same, regardless of my past misdeeds, current struggles and potential to err and fail Him. i want to be able to love like that but i know that it is sth humanly impossible. BUT the beautiful thing is that i can be filled with His love and in turn waters others...
