Do you see a man skilled in his work?
He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men.
i think one very important lesson that i learnt after SOT is really to devote more time doing what i am good at and then equip others to do those that i'm not so good at.
it is only when we work on our talents, gifts and abilities then we become really skilled at it.
it is our passion, a burning fire that is within.
quit frustrating yourself by doing 101 things that you are not good at and be a blessing by excelling what you are good in.
a disclaimer is that sometimes when you see a need, do go and meet it but yet you need to exercise wisdom.
if you see someone struggling to carry loads, isn't it obvious then that you should go forward and help?
the point is, don't try to add on to a plate that is already full; if not everything just topples over...
am reading a book on Boundaries.
as i read chapter 1 - a boundary-less life, i could relate to it 100%.
i laughed and made a lot of notes on it since i am still recovering from a martha syndrome.
we all need to develop boundaries to allow us to live our lives to the max and to put our talents into fullplay.
i guess part of developing boundaries could be setting up a schedule so that you know how much time you have on hand that you could play around with.
at the same time, you become more effective in setting out the goals you planned for.
(more of this the next time... now isn't really blogging time...)
even for now, i can be rather relaxed about a lot of things that i face
and that is simply cause i know my love capacity for people will push me beyond limits.
for which, i am really glad and blessed...
love is the greatest gift that you can ever give...
