had a pretty laidback day of some sort.
lecture, work then tuition.
feelin rather tired now so shall just keep it short.
brought chari to
icekimo after work for the ice-cream treat that i promised her.
literary fell in love with the place on sight.
looks really comfy and homely in some ways.
they have such a variety of ice-related food like, ice-cream cakes, spaghetti and more!
what really caught me is the DURIAN WAFFLE TOPPED WITH DURIAN ICE-CREAM and also the ICE-CREAM FONDUE! was fasting so these were like no-no.
but any takers to head on back there with me to try out the varieties?
anw, was just thinking that all of us are usually so busy with the hustle and bustle of life that we usually stick to the norm and what we are used to. if not for chari, i probably won't have discovered a haven like icekimo - we could sit there and study, surf, play board games and even to just read and do everything else that we wanted and not be disturbed. the prices are afforable and the varities would probably overwhelm you and you would not get sick and tired of what to eat next. there is no posh cover-ups, just what you see it as it is. and that's really awesome, esp pple have been so conscious abt brands and of the like!
it is really pretty enjoyable to take time off once in a blue blue moon to explore the different parts of singapore, finding gourmet and tasty food.
not only that also enjoy musings and the sights along the way.
(discovered the playfone when i 'roamed' ard, paricularly and intriguing...)
the whole experience was indeed refreshing. should try that out an a monthly basis. it's good to be driven and goal-orientated but yet, we all need to learn to take care of our soul isn't it? at least to me, it is thrapeutic. :)
end of the day, let's not be so overly concerned with reaching the goals that we neglect and forget about all that is around us - all being for our enjoyment. getting to our goals are important, but the journey and process of doing so is even more so.
so my dear friends, learn to take breathers along the way and appreciate all that you have. it makes the journey a whole lot more fun and memorable, stretching your life to its fullest! =D
