okay. i'm promising myself that this is going to be a quick post, considering the amount of revision that i should be doing. had a rather de-stressing weekend, coupled with loads of fun. albeit being a bit discouraging from time to time.
service on sat was really awesome. the presence of God was there and as we sang the new worship song,
The God I Know, tears streaked down my cheeks. it gave full expression to what i was feeling. i am discouraged by how things are at this point of time but it brought rememberance that all that i am doing at the end of the day is really because of the call and the love that He has for me.
met up with a good friend of mine after citynews briefing for supper. we got rather adventurous and filled with spontaneity, we went almost all around just to eat. the very first stop was chinatown. got to eat my fav yu sheng and bbq chicken wings. really really yummy. we decided to stop over at mt faber thereafter to catch a view of the city lights.
on the way there, we saw this peh peh changing his tyre so we did a u-turn back to help him with it. peh peh was already 68 years old! anw, was really fun to just stop and help someone in the middle of the night. and it was the very first time i got to change a car tyre! was really tiring though. =p
the jewel box is really stunning. the view there is breath-taking. and even their toilets had sofa. i'm gonna go there and celebrate my birthday one day. anw, got to know a girl by the name of Wenhua. really amazing girl. hopefully i would have more opportunities to talk to her soon.
after which, we went to lau pa sat, trying to look for ice-cream waffles. sadly, to no avail. but we went for dim sum! the boy/man serving at the dim sum stall was really cute, singing and grooving to the music blaring over the player, amongst which are hits like beautiful girls by sean kingston. was really entertaining.
still wanting to have our dessert but clueless where to go, we drove back home. and to our pleasure, we have xin wang hongkong cafe! where we got our special Strawberry Ice! made our third friend for the night - Francis!
was really interesting to have met the people i met and to hear of their past, and even better still, the ideals and hope for the future. i think one of the saddest thing that can happen to anyone is not having hope for even tomorrow.
on sunday, FOTS had our gathering once again! finally, one that i could go for! and the most amazing thing is that we had all 10 of us in!

the men: Kk, Jim, Samuel, Ran
the ladies: Viyann, Mingyan, Jun, Shunai, Rui
[Yang being behind the cam]
been so long since FOTS had a full attendance. INCREDIBLE! today, we had our master chef Mingyan to whip up a laksa feast with the rest being assistants. was super yummy-licious. we talked, laughed, watched tv, cleaned, took loads of photos and sang karaoke. the girls liteary hogged up the system singing SHE songs. the energy level peaked and was really hilarious with us trying to have 'disco' lights, fiddling around with the switch.
was trying to make myself useful the whole night. supposedly to help clean up but kk and jun wanted to do it together. samuel was nice to have gotten me to make peach tea. really liked it! and when i asked 我可以做什么呢?the response i had was to 坐下来。
thanks guys for indulging and pampering me. felt really loved and cared for. even the sms-es and msn conversations tonight. when i count my blessings, your are indeed one of the top on the list. your have never asked me what i could give to you but your never waver to give to me. thanks for making this night happen. yang reminded me that we will all be having our anniversary in a month's time! *weets*
