during the xmas service today, it occured to me that the spirit of christmas is not just about giving but also about not giving up. was really touched by the encouragement benny the angel received at the end. it is true that the price that we need to pay along the way is never easy, the things that we need to learn are endless, and obviously, the mistakes we make are almost uncountable too, regardless of big or small. but God never forsakes any of us nor give up on any of us, even when we have already given up. He loves us so much that He never leaves us to go through things beyond that we can bear, and even then, there are times that we learn to say 'no' and grow through them.
been having thoughts of giving up on some plans and shelving of some others. the spirit to fight on seemed to have dwindled over time, alongside with the discouragements and mistakes made along the way. but i'm thankful that this is reconcilled before i start 2009. 2009 will be a year of change, breakthrough and greater growth!!!
God, grant me the courage to change the things that i can and the serenity to accept those that i can't...
