Movie: Bride Wars
This is a show that celebrated the girlfriends in our lives. I liked the way that how opposites became the best of friends. Liv is the typical go-getter perfectionist who has everything in control, knowing what she wants and where she is going. Emma on the other hand is the typical nice girl who never know how to say no and takes whatever that is being thrown at her, the seemingly pushover kinda person. And yet amidst all, they understood each other through and through.
But yet, miscommunication, or rather no communication does separate the best of friends too. the brushing aside and the assumptions we make of people do bring with it a set of heartaches. make it a point to clarify and communicate, especially with people that are close to your heart. otherwise too many buried hatchets could turn out to become a walking nightmare in our lives.
this is really a girl kinda show - with every girl's wedding dream. and alongside are enactments of our lives where we see guys missing the point and just simply don't get it. to think of it, i think women are really wonderfully complex creations with much thought put into them.
i like the show because i find it super relatable to the thoughts that i have in my life, the kind of personality traits portrayal are all aptly done. not forgetting that how when things don't go our way would usually help in bringing out both the best and worst part of us. and to think of it, it got me tearing at a part too. above all else, i am thankful for girlfriends like wei, esther, maybeline, ying and ling. i hope to build up on stronger girl friendships this year for the years to come...
i want to have a garden/beach/cathedral wedding...
