Reading has taken on another dimension this year. And not just reading, it'll probably have a lot of actual articulation and memory work as well in phonetics and phonology. with all the brain work in place, i am contemplating if to take up cognitive linguistics. in other words, to study even more in-depth of the relation between linguistics and the brain = more BRAIN WORK!!! and by taking up this mod, i'll have a day where i have 8 hours of lessons back-to-back. brain might revolt in protest given to have to go through 3 lectures and 2 tutorials in ONE DAY!
thinking if to take up the science of chinese characters as well. to think the very first reading consist of 70 pages is a deterrence but i guess if i am really really interested, i would pursue it, no matter how intensive the readings are. well then again, currently i have 2 article reviews due every week, coupled with loads of researches and tutorials.
well then again, i shall give both a shot by going for the lectures. this is one of the times that first impression gonna really count. add drop period only ends this sunday at 10pm. shall drop the idea of spanish this sem due to the intense competition. and to sum it all up, if i just want to go through the course for my interest, i could just sit through lectures and not register for the mod since the LT is too big to spot differences. :)
gonna make sure that i am not lagging in tutorials and readings from week 1. i need to get my focus right and not be distracted. the power of focus works miracles...
