Just went for Geraldine's mum's wake. Got caught by the grief that she was feeling deep within. I can't begin to imagine the loss that I would feel to lose my parents or grandparents one day. Praying that she'll be strong about it. It also reminds how lives can be touched and changed by crucial moments like these.
It kinda also hit on me that as I now grow older, my parents aren't exactly younger. Grandma is already 84, daddy 51 and mummy 45. And in a decade or two, daddy and mummy would be senior citizens already. And to think that grandparents on both sides are already great-grandparents, with the youngest at almost 7 months. Feel the need to inherit and master their skills and also to pull in the gaps between the generations. Furthermore, there isn't exactly a big that age gap.
Relationships precedes ministry and this was exactly what I saw in action today. Went over to have dinner w Pst, Wenling, Kelvin, Yating and Jaslyn. It is really inspiring to see Pst, Yating and Jaslyn at work together in the kitchen to cook for all of us. I saw the friendships that were present and how everyone served one another. Particularly touched by Pastor's time with Chyanne. Saw a different side of Pastor today. :)
Being the definitions person I am, I am thankful for a fresh start with a friend today. Letting bygones be bygones. :)
Tmr gonna be a great day! <3
